Project Director - Manufacturing Operations - Eaton - Muelheim
Job Description
Eaton - Cooper's business in Germany is looking for a strong individual with significant background in Manufacturing Operations Management (strong Supply Chain experience preferred) to join their team in the Muelheim an der Ruhr manufacturing facility (former FHF business).
As a Project Director for the plant, you will:
• Manage key strategic projects that will enable FHF to reduce costs and grow sales Projects to include but not limited to:
• Resourcing projects to derisk the supply chain
• Outsourcing to support business consolidation plans
• Manage the relocation of existing manufacturing processes and their supply chains
• Drive the implementation of SAP in FHF to ensure the system delivered is capable of supporting the combined operations.
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)
degree in an appropriate discipline or equivalent
• Experience is required of operations management (prior experience as Operations/Manufacturing Manager) with cost centre accountability
• Experience required of managing teams of both hourly paid and professional people, demonstrable people development
• Experience and detailed understanding is required of complex manufacturing systems, particularly MRP/ ERP systems
• Experience is required of medium to low volume, high variety, light assembly operations preferably in the electronics sector.
Fluent in English and German
