Business Development Director - MatchCraft - Munich


Job description
To help support and drive the growth of our business, we are now looking for a:

Director of Business Development for Germany, Austria & Switzerland
As the Director of Business Development in the DACH region, you will be responsible for developing leads, making sales and creating a sustainable sales pipeline, primarily across the German speaking part of Europe, but possibly also following up on leads in other parts of EMEA. Reporting to the Vice President of EMEA, you will work from a home office or shared office space somewhere in the primary territory. You will spend part of your time travelling to see prospects and clients, attend conferences and visit the European head office in Leiden, Netherlands. You will drive the whole sales process for new prospects and will work with existing reseller partners to identify new revenue opportunities. You will be given extensive support to succeed in your role from all parts of the company, including Client Relations, Marketing and Engineering.

Job Responsibilities
• Develop new reseller and strategic client relationships with senior level decision-makers and capable of driving significant new profitable revenue for both MatchCraft and the client.
Work closely with Senior Sales leadership on large complex sales and implementations
• Prioritise potential opportunities and help focus our resources on the clients that present the greatest opportunity for our business
• Consistent development of sales strategy, tactics, and plans to meet sales targets
• Work with Marketing to develop lead generation, client retention, and revenue generating programs, and to create high performing sales collateral
• Identify areas to improve effectiveness and efficiencies with processes, tools and product offerings
• Meet and exceed monthly revenue quota
Grow and maintain relationships in the local markets with key partners, including Google and Bing

Desired Skills and Experience

Qualifications
• 5+ years of sales management & selling experience
• Prior experience with Search Engine marketing is a large advantage. Some experience within online marketing is a must
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
• Expertise in Enterprise level sales, selling strategies / methodologies, strategic planning and execution
• Experience in selling complex software solutions to C-level executives
Strong verbal & written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft office suite or Mac equivalent
• Ability to travel 15 – 25% of your working time
Native level German both verbally and in writing and business fluency in English.
